Why we twitter? We started of with this question. Akshay Java of University of Maryland introduces Twitter like this: Microblogging is a relatively new phenomenon defined as "a form of blogging that lets you write brief text updates (usually less than 200 characters) about your life on the go and send them to friends and interested observers via text messaging, instant messaging, email or the web." One of the popular microblogging platforms is Twitter. We figured out Twitter can be used as a very powerful teaching and learning tool. Only we have to be responsible as for Cybersafety which currently, may turn into dodgy area.
"The impact of leadership upon school effectiveness and school improvement is significant (Wallace, 2002)." That's how a research paper began talking about Distributed Leadership and School Improvement. It keeps on exploring i.e. 'Distributed leadership is currently in vogue. .....Distributed leadership concentrates on engaging expertise wherever it exists within the organisation rather than seeking this through formal position or role.' (Alma Harris, 2004).
Cybersafety and Digital Citizenship both were compared and discussed.
We had to do an activity on 'Wicked Problem (TPACK)' . Questions were raised if there is any difference between Wicked Problem and Mind Mapping. Wicked problem and wisdom of crowds came up for discussion. Had a problem solving task on estimating number of jelly beans in a jar and what was our strategy. Session wind up was with blended learning , EdPuzzle, Blendspace etc.
