I think this well woven story conveys conflict, frustrations, anxieties, hopes and tenderness of our contemporary Bengalee life. Although, the narrative centres around Bengalee life, it hasn’t lost that universal theme of revolt against rigid, fixated norms of life. This also encompass the tenderness, love and care of people around us. Four women, Maggie, Sreela, Maa and Palash, to me were allegorical representation of various ‘values’ of our journey in life. Devdatto or Dev represents all of us, people who have ‘dreams’ and melody to fulfill.
As usual I attempted compilation of the narrative in graphics, picture. I hope you will like them.
