We in Rosehill College, started of with Teacher Dashboard, a Learning Management System. Within a year we decided to work with Google Classroom. I think, at this stage most of the teachers are quite familiar with the interface. Recently we used Google Classroom for secured assessments. Initially we thought it will not work, but this year we successfully used it. We have been using Google Doc, Sheet and Form regularly in class. Google Form with its Flubaroo add-in is really productive. We use Socrative, Kahoot, EdPuzzle and Quizlet.
End of last year, we felt the requirement for a model to integrate BYOD. We have been using SAMR model which can be aligned with Bloom's Taxanomy. SAMR is abbreviation for four stage process i.e Substitution, Augmentation, Modification and Redefinition. We try to ask to clarify if our device usage is an appropriate practice. That's perhaps one of the reasons, we tend to follow 'Blended Learning' pathway. We 'dream' of having a 'Flipped Classroom', but in reality, practising it is not always easy. Why? That's another story- may be will talk about it another day!
